Done some digging, talked to Remington and a few others

have only handled the Smart Trigger Version but
I'm almost sure that the optics in the two rifles are the same. So we know the 2020 has a much cheaper, shorter range rangefinder, no Smart Trigger, uses smaller caliber ammunition and the platform itself is not of the quality of the Surgeon. So I'm pretty hopeful the 2020 has an eMagin display in it like the big gun. That said, in the shooting community there is a bit of a backlash brewing over the claimed accuracy over the claimed distance. Numbers will win out though, an 80% success rate is a whole hell of a lot better than 10%. If you worked hard to get in the position for a shot that is an accomplishment in itself. A lot of people do not have the time, money or inclination to devote that much effort for an heroic miss. I'm guessing they'd rather do all that and expect a reasonable shot at a good trophy, some good meat, an ethical kill or eliminate a varmint or predator and not care less about the "sporting" aspect. As always with eMagin it is addition by subtraction, not waiting for an announcement.
