At the Needham Conference

eMagin CEO Sculley was asked, I paraphrase, "if anyone was interested in their prior art or IP?," Sculley, "not so much IP, only manufacturing processes." he has mentioned on a few occasions that when they "visit certain companies they bring a headset, plug it into a cellphone and fire it up." The live broadcast of the Needham Conference allowed for one last question from the attendees and it was "Is Samsung a competitor?", Sculley answered "No", this last bit was cut off the replay. At the same Conference  Sculley was asked "if OLEDs could be made as cheaply as LCD". Sculley answered "Yes even cheaper and if you don't believe me ask Samsung and they will tell you the same." Recently rehired for two more years VP of Business Development, Jerry Carollo who designed small form factor HMDs for Intevac has made numerous trips to Korea, destination unknown. Early reports are calling this Samsung device a VR Headset which is a result of being infected with the deadly virus Oculovirus Vomitus, are calling this a rival to the DiveMask, no way, this something portable, power efficient and is much likely to be a Media Viewer along the lines of the Zeiss Cinemizer OLED.
