Outdoor Life : Is TrackingPoint “Legitimate” For Civilians? (eMagin Displays in all Models but the AR Series)

Defense of TrackingPoint in the wake of a campaign to ban their sale by Eliot Fineman. Great sympathy foe Mr Fineman whose son was murdered in Chicago, I note a lot of people's sons are murdered in Chicago on a daily basis. Banning a Smart Scope will do nothing to alleviate that situation. The writers Fair Chase criticism has merit but the Safari Club guys aren't going to go to Africa or a closer hunting preserve and not come back with a trophy. TP has just wrapped up a $29 Million round of investment so they do not appear to be going anywhere. Their future with the US military however is non-existent due to Future Weapons Sight Program which does what their Smart Scope can do and more. Possibility of overseas sales as the FWS capability will be closely held by the Pentagon.  Of course no advanced weapons system should fall into the wrong hands but it's getting harder all the time to figure out who has the "wrong hands."
