Something big missing here in this guy's treatise on : The Future of Combat Weapon Sights: Trijicon and Kopin Corp

Self funded by Kopin and Trijicon. The issue they address, Kopin and Trijicon, is interesting. They must have done some focus groups and heard as I have have heard from snipers past and present, "I'm SOL if the batteries die." Ok so Kopin allows the ACOG to be useable when the batteries die. This is strange as the designers seem to design with this flaw uppermost in their minds, in other words "when the batteries die." Not "if". eMagin's displays are much more efficient, battery life is not nearly as great a concern or if it is I've never heard it.  Which, I presume is why OLED displays and not LCD displays are in FWS-1. This Trijicon scope self funded,  designed around a deficiency. Google Glass Sideburn, Lenovo Neck Battery anyone? Obviously Kopin is straining to keep up with eMagin and their participation in the Future Weapons Sight Program and TrackingPoint and others.  Just goes to show how far eMagin is below the radar, why not even the "New Rifleman" has heard of them.  The Old Rifleman could hit anything with that Winchester 1873 regardless of shooting conditions, dust, smoke, potential for collateral damage, nice work if you can get it.
