There are dozens of stories on the Google Glass Addiction of the 31 Year Old Navy Serviceman

and barely a mention in the media of the adverse health consequences of using the Oculus Rift.  Per usual the media reports what it wants when it wants. They really do instinctively fly in formation like Canada Geese without the need to consult on "How to make a Flying Vee Formation." On another note I tried to provoke Ron Mertens on his being the source of the "Google is switching to OLED from LCOS" rumor he heard from an "Industry Insider". I do not believe he has heard anything new but unlike me Ron plays his cards very, very close to the vest. eMagin management all but said they will be in Google Glass, if not in the first consumer model then the next. I believe this floated rumor was the equivalent of Google's trip to China in search of "Samsung's OLED Microdisplay." That search , of course, turned out to be a snipe hunt there being no such animal. I believe the "Industry Insider" wanted Ron to print this, to get the notion out into the ether that Google is contemplating a switch. The fact that the source mentioned Microoled was in my opinion a way to bring up the larger issue without giving the game away. That report and that report only was what eMagin management cited as the "news reports and rumor" that Google was going to switch to OLED and that they "believe this report to be true." Not to say I can say this with metaphysical certainty,  Andrew and Paul have said things before that didn't exactly pan out, Camera EVF a notable example but even they would not have the chutzpah to say what they did without a good deal of Inherent Resolve, to coin a phrase.
